whoa!! long time no blog!!
checked out what my blog looked like earlier, and man, does it need a facelift!! hehe, where'd my "i am" emotions go? and my doodle board?, i better get in touch with techie peeps or ask my sis to fix it up for me.. anyway.. enough about that, let me blog about how the month of july has been for me..
here's a quick update of what's happened:
lets see... i've been busy with work more than ever due to a survey the office is conducting, so spent nearly half the month over at the other campus. been attending CG regularly, we had a friday family day wherein all other CG's of P.E. got together for dinner. I've started reading the chronicles of Narnia, so far i've read the first two, i'm waiting for dazed to finish what she's reading so i can read it next.
spent my weekend over at mt. sembrano with friends and new friends. it was a climb for a cause, the cause was to raise funds for denise, the daughter of D who was hospitalized in the neonatal area for quite a few at one of the hospitals in manila. it was another unforgetable climb coz it rained really hard on our way to the campsite, and was raining just as much when we got to the campsite!!! had to wait for the rain to stop before we could set up our tents. that was my first climb for the year and all i carried was food and, uhh.. more food and my kikay kit, since S.O. carried everything else! hehe, man, that was quite a change coz i'm used to hauling about my green pack which i usually had loaded with all sorts of things, from tent poles, stove, cookset, clothes and what-have-yous!!
I got to watch the island with S.O. last night too.
so far, that's about all the latest that i can remember from last month. maybe it's because i'm already starving and all i'm beginning to think of right now is what i want for lunch!!
well, hopefully, i'll get to update this blog within the month! hehehe

man, so much has happened since the last time i blogged, which was AGES ago!! lets see..
recap of stuff worth blogging about.. hmm...
Iking and Shiela got married last march. was the maid of honor, who also ended up as the dudette who was trying to free the butterflies for one of the photo ops.. you should check out the mini-vid.. hehe, just give me a holler if you wanna dose of laughter. anyway, Mandy and Jo also got married (friends from church) and Marc and Cielo (from my cg) will be tying the knot in two days!
spent a few days in palawan with ajie and his friends, that was all about fun-fun-fun, and too much fun under the sun = major sunburn! yeah! but it was worth it. the piks are all up at multiply, but i'll try and post a few of my fav shots here!
oh yeah, right now i'm addicted to CSI (thanx glinda) & 24! :) that's for my couch potato days!
also planning to join nina and her work buddies together with my other half over at daet this weekend, i'm gonna try my skimming skills! hehe, if it doesn't work out, then, i won't bother buying my own board! hehe.
anyway, it's the first day of school for quite a lot of kiddies, made me remember how my first day of school in the phil was like. i was enrolled for 4th year high, i woke up earlier, got dressed, had all my books packed, and waited to be picked up by a neighbor who's son studied there (my mom had arranged for the ride). when i got to school, i was surprised to see so many kids, and was pretty much lost, my kind neighbor said he'd meet up with me during recess, and off he went.. i found a teacher to help me find my section since the kids we're all heading off to different classrooms and the teacher goes, your class isn't till the afternoon! what a bummer!! i had to find my way home which was quite a challenge back then since i had no idea how to commute and i didn't even speak the language! but all went well, i rode a jeep, paid for my ride, and didn't have to say a thing since i got off when everyone was getting off at masinag, and since i wasn't sure where to ride next, i walked home! thank God masinag isn't that far away from the house. My mom was pretty surprised to find me at home and asked what happened, i said my classes were in the afternoon and i had nothing to do at school! well, it's wave & laiya's(my neices) 1st day of school today, hopefully, they'll enjoy it and look forward to the school days ahead! :)

I think the aircon here in the office is a tad too cold for my comfort...
anyway..
spent my saturday at my SO's place, but before we headed for cavite, i had to wash clothes. it's been ages since i last washed, so it took me a while to get things running.. hehehe.. first thing i looked for was the manual, which i couldn't find, so i ended up asking dazed how on earth i was supposed to empty the machine!! haha.. *duh*, SO ended up helping me since i was taking forever to wash a hamper full of clothes and we had to be in cavite for lunch, hey, i was pretty proud of being able to wash clothes, but i don't think i wanna do it anytime soon..
was able to have lunch with my CG although i had to pass on the meeting since SO and i had to get some materials for sheila's wedding baskets, we spent the evening decorating the baskets and so we're nearly half-way through! :)
right now, i'm getting a headache from all the alcohol teletubby keeps pouring on his hands.. it's casino alcohol, the brand i used to use back in college when i was dissecting stuff for zoology, so the smell kinda brings backs memories of dead animals, and formalin!
anyway.. i head there's gonna be a palm party this sunday.. kewlness.. i hope i can make it. Dazed plans to spend the weekend at the beach, so i'll prolly be accompanying her. hehe.. i hope i've enough bucks since i plan to spend holy week in bicol!!

Since i was physically drained, i skipped work for two days, spent the first day bumming around the house having muscle pains and the next day at the Zoo with SO. Here are some of my fav shots, the rest are in my multiply account. oh yeah, before we took the road trip to Avilon, we gave pakner a visit! :) i wonder what this weekend has in store for me.. lets just wait and see shall we..

my weekend was stressful, draining but fun!
taught mom's kids last friday since she was off to a retreat, the kids we're all well behaved, so no time outs for any of them! spent the rest of the afternoon-evening-midnight-early morning getting things together for the sportsfest we would be holding.
I had another memorable "first" too. It was my first time to sleep in a park (SLP), at least my bed was a newly constructed wooden stage. Now i know how homeless people feel like. it made me appreciate having a bed to come home too, and the warmth of living in a house. The mosquitoes feasting on my feet were rather annoying though. my tootsies were saved when yo offered his extra shirt! hehe.. gracias dude! (reminder to self: always, always have off lotion handy when you leave the house in the wee hours of the night!!... and if possible.. bring a sleeping bag!!)
i was able to go home past 6 on sat, had breakfast on the road courtesy of my SO, got home, cleaned up and headed back to the park! the event was a blast, although i screwed up a bit (was able to make amends. hehe). the rappel and slide for life had to be done after the hunt coz the safety peeps hadn't put up the "safe" sign, whatever that was on the tower.
anyway, wen't home late afternoon but i really can't recall much coz i slept most of my afternoon away, i do remember that the fan belt broke though, and SO had it fixed up somwehere in QC. slept after dinner then taught SS the following day. Spoke with TP too regarding my going on leave in my ministry. :(

I'm having one of those mornings where I feel like I've got weights pulling on my heart, if not my heart, well, something inside of me!! aarrgghh!! reminds me of the song by Don Moen! Anyhooo... What has this boring girlaloo been up to? not much actually! well, here's a summary of what's been up for the past two weeks of my life, minus the work part! Lets see.. I can still remember my Enchanted Kingdom and Tagaytay trip with my SO, that was all about fun-fun-fun and acting all childlike.. bumped into tweet tweet and her family at the rio grande! :) that was the bestest of the best ride at EK!!     Oh yeah, it was the EDSA revolution chuva last friday, so yes, it was another long weekend! whoohoo!! too bad I didn't have any plans to go out of town, I stayed home to keep my mom company since my dad was in Bicol and dazed was off in cebu with war and JP! Spent my weekend with SO, bought pakners baskets for her wedding, so I should be busying myself with that sometime this week, or I could squeeze that in next week.. Nearly through with the smallville seaon 4, so at least i'm a little updated on what's happening with clark and co (thankies Don Kurt) SO and I spent our sunday over at Tagaytay for Baby Niza's baptismal. met Toshi and friends, the afternoon gave me gas man!! all those comedians was just too much! hehehe! also bought plants on the way home.. lets see.. forget-me-nots, white angel and a plant that starts with the letter "M" Got to faith in time for a last few minutes of the sermon, and the closing prayer!! then found out the good news about the JOC tickets!! yipeee!! upgrade!! I think I should get a copy of the sermon.. better get hold of bhem!! Now it's back to work for me.. I forgot to mention, my bro got promoted, and he was telling the family about it, Looks like some people are in deep this week! hahaha..

Had a long weekend since I was on scheduled leave yesterday. Actually, I wasn't expected to come to work today, but I forgot *duh* i could've just bummed around the house again today and watched the smallville series.
Anyway, JP's over at our house for a few days, haven't seen him in years! has he grown or has he grown!! he keeps going past our village on his way home and ends up running back! hehe, he's been doin' it for two nights already!
Went to Xaymaca last friday together with my SO and met up with the usual peeps and the G-net gals. Was surpised to see Ygan there (near the entrance). It took me a while to remember his name tho'!
oh yeah, i'm thankful DA cleaned up my room last sat, coz i totally forgot to! went to the Gabriela HQ for a post meeting, then had dinner after with sir kid,arlene, michelle and Ajie.
sunday was spent teaching kids, then went off to buy flowers for v-day! :)
wrote my first business letter for the year! I was sooo tempted to put smiliey faces in it! hehehe :)

Had dinner at Oks manoks last night with SO and Melvin, but before that, went to Makati to visit Ice and check out her new apartment. Found out that her labandara left and so she's on the look out for a new one. Went home earlier than usual, and found out that there was an addition to the pets at home. We now have, 2 dogs, stray cats, some fishes, dad's chickens, and 2 new pairs of love birds! :D
Anyway, checked out my multiply page too and found out that SO had already uploaded the infanta pics, so i did the same with my toy cam pics!

Spent my weekend at Barangay Ilog in Infanta, Quezon with friends I climb with and Gabriela peeps - G.net ("babae ka, may sey ka"). It was my first time to see with my own eyes what devestations the typhoon last November had brought. Our task for the weekend was to help out a family in pairs. My partner was my SO, and we helped out Ate Tess and Kuya Efren! =) They had lets see.. uh.. 6+ kids, last I counted. As my SO and I helped shell peanuts to be used for planting, both Tess and Efren told us about their experiences during that november nightmare.
Some of the stories I remember from them include stories about an old couple who got buried in their house and was found the next day. How they were lucky that all their family members had survivied although they had lost everything. She mentioned how her two youngest daughters held on to each other when they were separated from her, and how her husband swam to save his kids - he stuffed two of his little ones inside his shirt while he swam to safety. One Of kuya Efren's stories include that this was the second time his house was washed away and how they were just preparing to move into their new house when the flood happend.
We also helped plant peanuts, but since we were far from any water source, we were'nt able to water them! the work of the others included digging mud from inside a house, watering and cleaning plots and lending ears to all the stories being told! :D
Oh yeah, my infanta family also had a pet dog named Pulot, when i asked why it was named so, Ate Tess laughed and said "kasi napulot ko lang, at ayaw na umalis saamin" hehehe..
I felt like I had pitched my tent on the beach, but without the sound of waves around me! anyway, there was a bon fire and little presentations by groups being called that evening.
Spent my sunday morning taking breakfast to my Infanta family, then joined arlene and her pasaway na nanay together with my SO over at a youth center and seminary to get relief goods. Why pasaway? because, she said we would only take 30 minutes! we told the people in-charge our plans and off we went, left at 9 and got back 11:30!! now that's pasaway. whenere we mentioned it to arlene she'd go "sinungaling si nanay!!" Hehe
So much happened during the weekend, I won't be able to blog everything, but I hope I'll be able to go back. I did tell a kid I would! :)

Half the workday is almost over and what have I accomplished? Nada! Hehe. Was given a sweet potato this morning by my boss, (how sweet) and while eating it, remembered my childhood days of watching Kum Kum - the cave boy, which made me google him up and see what the web had in store.. and this is what I ended up with: Tada!!! Anyway, I read about the characters and the episode synopsis', made me want to order and watch the episodes! lol!
I'm looking forward to going to Infanta, Quezon for the weekend, hope I don't get to ride the red tide tho' :(

First post for the love month!
Was on leave for the past two days, had the TAAM virus (tamad at ayaw mag-work)
I woke up real early last Monday tho, dunno what I ate but I had this craving to be at the beach, so I packed some stuff, grabbed enough bucks, told lola dear via sms I wasn't feeling well, borrowed DA's mp3 and was all set to hit the beach!! yeehaa!!
Left the house together with DA, and while waiting for our ride, that's when this stranger dude, decided to pick us up, well, I thought it was nina's friend since she was all waves and smiles!! turned out it was really just a stranger dude being kind that early in the morning (5am). It reminded me of when we hitched a ride to Sta. Lu a couple of years ago... which just goes to show, if you offer a ride, I will take it, and I'll have Nina telling me off for riding with strangers! hehehe.. (Well, I really thought they were from the village, since they were coming outta the village, and I was still on traumatized mode when crossing highways!
Anyway, texted my SO, saying I was off to the beach, told DA I should be back around 9 or 10-ish, if I wasn't, then she could worry!
I rode a bus bound for Lipa, sat in the front inbetween to women, told the conductor to wake me up when we get to big ben, took out my pillow and dozed off!
Had my breakfast at Jolibee Lipa, Got a call from SO asking what on earth I was doing in Lipa (he just woke up) and told me to stay put and he was on his way. I had to wait for over 3 hours, so I wandered around the area, had my phone charged near the pasalubong place and visited all the shops at Big Ben. Had the sales lady follow me everywhere at the Otto (I think) store. She reminded me of a fly, hovering! haha.. she even said "thank you for coming" when i left the store! haha
decided to kill time at red ribbon too, and when SO finally arrived, he said we were going back to Manila, but I had my way and off we went to San Juan! :D
We nearly made it to the beach, It just so happened that there was'nt gonna be any rides back so I had to call off my beach plans. Spent the day at SJ instead, saw sir Kid's ancestral house, I wouldn't have noticed it tho' if SO hadn't said so!
Anyway, got home safe and really tired, so tired I had to go on leave again since my body didn't wanna get off the bed the next day!
Oh yeah, signed up for the Leonardo chuvaloo, hehe.. *ahem*.. Nina, don't forget to buy bags and shoes from me! hehehe.. although the shoes aren't really my type, I'll see if I can make a way for the shoe gods of Leonardo to start making "buy-able" shoes! hehe.. but the bags are naah-eeeece!! brought the mag or whatever-its-called to the work place, and got my very first customer!! MYM!! yipee! She gets a prize! hehehe, still thinking what her prize will be! :D
Talking about magz.. well.. that's something else! :) Can't wait to get started on magz!! *excited mode*

the start of my monday was totally crap, i threw up and sat on gum!! who ever placed the gum on the chair is a chikala!! arrggghhh!! imwe, learn to throw your gum in the bin!
anyway.. i only noticed i had gum stuck on my skirt when i went to the ladies room, so i did my best to clean it up, and since the gum is a total eye sore, i ended up folding my skirt up. so now i'm going about in a mini skirt!! arrghh.. foolish me, i should learn to check where i sit!! oh yeah, i did try and color up the white spot with a blue pentel pen! lol! hopefully, i'll get by the day just sitting in front of my PC!

it's back to work for me! Thank God for work,i was beginning to bore myself, and my cash flow was drying up! hahaha!

oh yeah.. i had quite a laugh during the SVI christmas party together w/ ajie's friends... was pretty busy w/ the gift wrapping season, enjoyed the service at faith on christmas eve, although i misplaced papa bear's prezzie (dude, if you get to read this, i'm soooo sorry, i have no idea where it went coz last i remember was i placed it in a stuff sack.. i do appreciate the thought tho')... spent the whole of christmas day singing "it's my birthday, it's my birthday, i'm gonna part-ay like it's my birthday!!" - a day when people at home are extra affectionate! i don't quite feel i've aged much tho'. new year's was so-so.. hung out with my fam, and a little over at kuya's place, lit roman candles, coz that's about the safest thing i could get my hands on.. spent the rest of jan 1 finishing the poisonwood bible... pretty good read.... if you've been to africa, well, lets just say .. can relate! haha..
i had a first this morning. first time to get pooped on by a bird!! eeewww!!! now i know what being shitted on feels like!(it's warm! hehe!) i mean, there was soooo much space.. the bird just had to aim for my right wrist innit! arrghh!!! flippin 'eck!! good thing i remembered to bring tissue with me, and patty had alchohol!! thank God i bumped into patty and ella! haha! i guess i should be thankful, coz the dang bird could have aimed for my head or uniform instead, and if that had happened, man, i would've called in sick and spent the day at home! lol!
